Trying to keep it from Blackfolks

BLACK MEN
I greet you in the word of peace. You have been fighting a war since your birth, and I know you can use a little peace. Though, the biggest fight lye’s with yourselves, to where we carry on as if someone else is the blame. Our fight has been so self- inflicted. So self-inflicted that Some of us have adopted to the frame of mind that women, our Black women are the ones winning in our society. And the sad part of that misinformed thought, is that some of us, Blackmen, hate to hear that his woman is winning more than he is. And that frame of thought is just preposterous. If someone told me the story that my woman is winning more than me, than really how much am I losing? If she wins, I think it’s safe to say I win, my son wins, my daughter wins, my family wins. So, what’s the point? There’s no “win column” for her when it belongs to us.
So why fall victim to the falsified rhetoric of divide and conquer. Yes, everything in this life has been geared for her to win. Most of our thought process gives our daughters the real helping hand. She is our pride and joy, so let her win because we always wanted her to win and to win big. The sad part of your brainwashing? If you ask her if she is winning, she might beg to differ if you aren’t on her side. A real Black Woman seeks to have that strong Black man in her life. Know she is not winning without you. We are the lame of thought that think that our access determined our wins and losses. A Black woman thinks that her family’s strong stable structure is winning. And the only way that works is with you. But the real you—the one that understands her need for your direction. The one that understands her brainwashing came from our negligence as true kings. Not taking charge and being our kids’ first teacher to this harsh society. It’s just common knowledge. Who knows the challenges and has the experience of the everyday obstacles our prince will face in this society better than us? Who can teach our daughters better than us about how a woman is treated and love? It all starts with us. That’s why the fight was brought to us on a major scale. That’s why we were attacked mentally and physically. Shamed in front of our families with their (bulk- breaking) satanic, demonic way of life. Knowing it would be hard for some to hold their heads high because the shame was too much for any man to endure. These scars were never going to be seen but be planted in your spiritual being. Such shame couldn’t be diminished unless an executioner became your godfather.
Retribution comes with the loss of breath for your enemy. Though, most will proclaim those days have surely passed, as if the scars aren’t left on a generation. As if most of our televised pastime isn’t filled with abnormality of such (bulk- breaking) acceptability. Though, that isn’t my fight.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things that I cannot change, courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
We must face the fact that we have never seen a plan so well-executed and delivered in its masterpiece, while we wait on its prophesy to be fulfilled. We didn’t notice that the plan was to stop a prophesy, because what was, will always be. And no matter the hidden truth of a plan ... the longer it’s played.
The truth will eventually reveal itself. Though, sadly, only a few would believe it’s the truth. Stockholm syndrome has set in, while our captors kids exploit our creative anger.
I once taught a female friend the essence of chess and my understanding of its similarities to life. I explained to her that the Queen is the most dangerous piece on the board. The Queen has the capability to move in any such way as any piece on the board opposite the knight. Though, who will want his Queen to fight his battle? I explained its similarities in today’s society. On her importance to the King. Knowing she has a better chance at destroying an enemy before I could even come close.
So, yeah, she might get that executive job before me. Yeah, she might be heard before me; yes, she will be given government assistance before me. Not that should be any admiration of a man. Though single-father homes do exist; and the benefits allotted to my Queen won’t be so with men. But this friend got cocky and opted to use my teaching against me when showing me her worth. Or using her worth to exemplify that she, indeed, was the best thing in my life. And, if I should lose her, then my castle would go into ruins. I politely told her the difference in our loss. It is sure that if she leaves, that problems will or might occur.
Though losing her wouldn’t be my greatest defeat because a pawn can make it to the other side and I can acquire another Queen. However, if I fall from grace, Game Over. Although this is not the depiction of an Easterner’s life. Who are we not to play the cards that have been dealt? Because I don’t need any more favors. As Black men, we have fallen to our lowest. Soon, they will be clapping their hands at our defeat, because they know we leave the greatest gift to life alone: Our woman, our best friends, our best love, even our future, if we don’t attain that which is ours. If we don’t stand up and stop making excuses of our shortcomings.
Never has there been an error of man that thinks others owe him something and they never gave anything. You might be a descendant from those battalions of buffalo soldiers who were promised that 40 acres and a mull. If they gave that to you now? They would have to abandon this country in reparations to you, and as we know it. There will be no reparations for the greatest atrocities to ever be recorded. Sometimes, though, I wish we would abandon the whole conversation. Too much would have to be given up. Even the flag, and we know that’s not going to happen.
We must focus on the reconstruction of our families. We have to stay focused on what has spiralled out of control: the Black family. That journey starts with you, my brother, acknowledging your loses and winning your Queen back. How did you let her think that you weren’t worthy of her, even with her riches and fame.? It doesn’t match up to having you. Everytime I see a Black woman winning or just beating the odds against her, I figure it’s all a win for us.
We, as black men, need to focus on us for a while. If you think you deserve to be called a King, than you should act like one. You should really strive to be that in which you view yourself. Though, I hear my mother always saying, “You have to clean your own house before you can worry about cleaning someone else’s.” And it’s time to get our house in order before we have none.
Now, let’s not get it misconstrued. There are changes happening that your oppressor never imagined. I can surely say I have been lucky to be around or have seen a new-age Black man.
Those who are trying their best to eliminate that generational curse. There are Black men fighting their way back on stage on which their fathers have fallen. There are Black men setting standards in their communities in which they have helped to destroy. There are movements being made by individuals who want to give back to their communities, but the media downplays these movements in hopes they don’t get too much wind, and that a nation can fly with it. I just witnessed Kim Kardashian’s donation of proceeds from her Lyft investment to help a cause that that I think only could have been implanted in her mind by her husband. Though I will take nothing from her, she should be commended on such. Regardless of whose plan I think it is. Its factor are still worthy of all praises. I just witnessed Jay-Z use his Roc Nation organization’s lawyers to not only address but to file a class action suit against the racist state of Mississippi’s prison system. All while the masses don’t realize that insufficient funds when fighting a case has been detrimental to the loss of many young Black lives. 850,000 black men recorded in slavery. 1.7 million in some type of judicial circumstances. Weather prison or probation. The attack on black men has never ceased.
If only there was a non-profit lawyer organization geared to help those indicted of bogus criminal charges. They wouldn’t be a need for any government funding because of the lawsuits that would occur for such cases. Would make every lawyer rich in this organization. Even Johnnie Cochran realized the ineffective of assistance in the state of Georgia, when he stated the fact that he could release more than half of its prison population with the proper funding. Which most believe to be his demise.
Facts, some of these worthless Black politicians overlook to keep their token status amongst their European counterparts. It’s as if we have let these bootlickers come to power, or become a status in their community, because they have known or taken pictures with our true Black leaders in society. Most of these old dudes’s backs are broken, just like any employee after he has reached his potential. Retire from this struggle if you haven’t the fight left. Though that’s another book.
Black man, just because you didn’t give birth to him, doesn’t mean he isn’t still your responsibility if he is in your village. Most believe their village stops at their front porch.
And only the weaker individual feels he have nothing to do with the kids his kids encounter each day. This brings me to an incident that occurred during one of...
